Founder, owner and director of Serenity

Arriving in Derby in 1995, Shazia had some experience of the beauty industry her qualifications in Pakistan, however she initially believed it would be too much of a struggle to open her own business.

Initially, she lacked the confidence to set up on her own and with three children, she was pushed for time. However, as her children grew up there was more time for Shazia to study for qualifications.

"I have always wanted to work in the beauty industry but it would have been very difficult when I first arrived".
​
Her clients have always been incredibly supportive. Some of them helped her to look for premises when Shazia first decided to open a salon and make the transition from working from home.​
 
On Monday 28th July 2014, Shazia finally opened her first salon on Village Street in Derby. Focusing on providing a range of beauty and hair treatments - we focused on quality and customer service. 
 
​With the client base expanding even further, we then moved to a bigger salon and on the 26th July 2015, we opened our salon on Derby Lane, Derby.
 
Now Serenity by Shazia only operates at Derby Lane and provides even more beauty and aesthetic treatments for our clients to enjoy. From waxing, threading, bridal hair & makeup, laser and aesthetics, Shazia's journey and dream continues.
